Submission

Submission (2004) is an 11-minute short film in English directed by Theo van Gogh and written by Ayaan Hirsi Ali (a former member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy); it was shown on the Dutch public broadcasting network (VPRO) on August 29, 2004. Occupation 101

A thought-provoking and powerful documentary film on the current and historical root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and US political involvement. Unlike any other film produced on the conflict, ‘Occupation 101’ explains the complicated reality with precision storytelling through a series of highly stylized visual edits, and gives audiences a complete context with which to better understand the Israeli-Palestinian debate. The roots of the conflict are explained with thought-provoking commentaries from leading Middle East scholars, peace activists, journalists, religious leaders and humanitarian workers whose voices have too often been suppressed in American media outlets.

Loss of Liberty – 1967 Israeli War Documentary

The U.S.S. Liberty was an electronic intelligence-gathering ship that was cruising international waters off the Egyptian coast on June 8, 1967. Israeli planes and torpedo boats opened fire on the Liberty in the midst of what became known as the Israeli-Arab Six-Day War. Thirty-four Americans were killed and more than 170 were wounded in the attack.
“The Loss of Liberty” investigates whether the attack was a case of mistaken identity as both the U.S. and Israel claimed, or something more sinister. Hear eyewitness testimony from surviving crew members and interviews with distinguished military personnel and ambassadors.
